local talent should be celebrated, says CEO OF AIRTEL NIGERIA MR Ogunsanya

                                                                                                                   Mr. Segun Ogunsanya , who is the executive director of airtel nigeria,  called on the leadership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria  to celebrate and promote local talents, saying African talents should be adequately empowered and supported to take up corporate leadership opportunities across the whole  continent.


 mr Ogunsanya, who said  on (May 21, 2013) at the Investiture of the 16th CIPM President/Chairman of Council, CIPM, Mr. Victor Famuyibo, said Nigerian  the HR Practitioners should support local talents, provide world class training opportunities for does who are talented in Nigeria, in  the culture of paying for performance and create strong standard  to celebrate outstanding employees.
I  personally encourage the new President of the CIPM to be the catalyst of Africans for Africa initiative. This is a strategic initiative. This assures Investment in our future prosperity. Let me also add that promoting Africans for Africa is not a cost cutting measure because good Nigerian talents actually cost more than average expatriates .


MR Ogunsanya also  SHOW congratulation  the new president and the CIPM, saying Airtel Nigeria is excited to be associated with the CIPM., we share similar values with the CIPM. For one, the CIPM is a very credible and highly respected institution with  rich history. Airtel is also a respected Telecommunications Services Provider with a vision of becoming the most loved brand and the employer of first choice for Nigerian professionals.
CIPM President/Chairman of Council, CIPM, MrVictor Famuyibo, said We are already on it  to realizing this vission considering the endorsements and quality of feedback we have,  far  received from reputable institutions and organized, independent bodies.

I  personally congratulate the Institute for raising the standard. I say this because standard is often said to be a commodity that is susceptible to the law of gravity. So, I  pledge  the leadership of the CIPM for maintaining its focus and keeping the standard up. I also urge all of you to raise the standards in our society and become positive agents,
